Some 25 dev’t projects begin rendering service

Harar, September 14 (WIC) – Some 25 of the 35 development projects being carried out with over 97 million birr in Harari State have begun rendering service, according to state finance and economic development bureau.

Bureau Head, Ahmed Abdosh, told WIC today that the projects went operational in 9 urban and rural kebeles of the state last Ethiopian budget year.

He said road, health, water and education facilities were among the projects that went operational in the state.

More than 170,000 residents of the state have become beneficiaries of the projects, he added.

According to Ahmed, the remaining 10 projects would be finalized and go operational soon.

Some 89 million birr of the total budget allocated for the execution of the projects was obtained from the state government, while the balance from loan and donors.
